Jerk Chicken Tacos
Get ready to indulge in the flavors of the Carribean when you dive into these jerk chicken tacos! These tacos will be the talk of the town all season long!
Ingredients
- 1 whole young chicken (split in half down the entire breast)
- 1 oz Infusious Thyme Butter (melted)
- 1 tspn Garlic powder
- 1 tbsp Kosher Salt
- 1 tbsp Seasoning Salt
- 1 tbsp ground Black Pepper
- 2 tbsp dried thyme
- 1 tbsp browning sauce
- 2 tbsp Infusious Jerk Seasoning
- 2 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Add the above ingredients in the order listed
- Massage them all onto the chicken to ensure even coating on both sides
- Cover with plastic wrap and allow to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours
- Pre-heat oven at 400 degrees
- Remove from the refrigerator and bring to room temperature for at least 30 minutes
- Remove plastic and roast the chicken at 375 degrees for 1.5 hours
- Baste chicken every 30 minutes to seal in flavor and moisture
- Remove chicken after 1.5 hours and allow to cool before shredding or chopping
- Shred or chop the chicken in the pan with the juices and remove all bones.
- Prepare your tortilla shells, lettuce, tomato, citrus slaw, shredded cheese *all optional*. Add additional jerk sauce if desired.
